Stunning Ornate Continental Silver Malachite Antique Snuff Box

This is a stunning mid 19th century continental silver (tested 800) snuff box. Amazing quality and craftsmanship with ornate flourishes throughout. The top cover features panels of beautiful malachite stone. The box appears to have been gold gilded at one time, the gilding as faded to the exterior from handling but has a stronger presence internally. There are no visible makers marks or hallmarks which is typical of the 1860s. Measures 3 inches wide, 2 inches deep and 0.50 inch high closed. Nice weight at 96 grams.Good condition with age-related surface/handling wear, scratches. Loss to gold gilding. Please review photos for further assessment.
